What have we become?

This tragic and inhumane incident sums up the mayhem in Manipur. You don't have to be a Kuki-Zo tribal to condemn the brutal assault on humanity such as this. All you need is a little soul searching and a little humanity to sympathise and recognise the real threat that can befall you once the supposed enemy is annihilated. The depravity and inhumanity of the Nazis pogrom against the Jews in WWII haunts the conscience of the entire human race even today. Of all the inhumane atrocities committed in Manipur, this one stands out and epitomise the pogrom of ethnic cleansing carried out against the Kuki-zo tribals.  Even our brethren Meitei community will not condone this barbaric act, for the love of God, the child's mother was your daughter before she married her husband who unfortunately hails from Kuki Zo tribe. Born a Kuki-Zo  or married to one is enough for the "Nazified Meitei" mob- a smal fraction,  fringe section of our once tolerant and admired Meitei community to burn and  annihilate without mercy. I don't blame the entire Meitei community for the depraved act of the cancerous few but alas, the shame of such depravity cast a shadow even on the "silent good majority". The question is can your silence absolve you of this shameful heinous 'crime against humanity'. The hundreds we call friends today remain silent spectators or are you also  being coerced into quiet submission and silence by the threat of facing similar fate? If you need to be saved from the murderous pack, send SOS.
