The Ideology That Destroys Nations
Under classical communism, one of their main goals is to achieve social change through civil war. The goal of social change is the uplifting of an oppressed class or in other words, equity. Now, to achieve this, the society usually undergoes a period of education/information dissemination during which the formation of classes takes place. One class is convinced that they are wrongfully oppressed and suffer from a lack of opportunity. Meanwhile, another class is portrayed as the enemy to their development and growth. And the only means of achieving this equity for the oppressed class is often government intervention. This is a brief summary of the steps that are observed in societies where socialist ideology seeps in. One of the many ways where power is usurped and grabbed is by creating crisis and chaos (refer to China, Cuba, etc.).
Now, an alarming trend has emerged whereby socialist ideology has started infiltrating societies without any or no clear cut class divisions, adapting to the socio-political landscape of said societies and exploiting the weakness thereof to achieve a state of perceived crisis with the sole purpose of pushing its agenda to its natural conclusion.
In a recent interview given by the leader of the Meetei Leepun, Mr. Pramot Singh with Mr. Karan Thappar of the Wire, he uses certain interesting terms while speaking on behalf of the organisation. And we can absolutely take his word as representative of the organisation as he IS the head of the Leepun.
In his words, “To us, it is not just Kuki and Meitei issue. To us it is a foreign aggression which we have been fighting during war time, during British time. Now this is time we have to fight back. So, you cannot just look at it as a localised Kuki vs Meitei issue. It is a India vs illegal immigration issue. And the Meitei are thinking we are fighting a foreign aggressor. So, this thing will not just get over. It will increase.” This clearly shows how twisted the thinking of the Leepun has become as they arbitrarily label a community as foreign aggressors without any proof.
And again in his closing remarks, he says 'By the time we (Meiteis) reach a common consensus, then a blow will come. That blow will be so strong that the 3rd of May will look like a joke. I came here specifically to say this. Once we all agree, a blow will come that will wipe out the Kukis along the 15km stretch at Kangpokpi where they are blocking the road. I am not threatening, it is a fact. This needs to be told to the Indian people. This is my warning to the both the centre and state government to intervene now or else there will be civil war.' Using terms such as Civil War in reference to a majoritarian section of the society seeking to atack and destroy a minority sounds illogical even to the simplest mind. Can we not explain this as an organisation that has been infiltrated and corrupted by socialist idealogues then?
Yes, of course, correlation is not causation. however if it walks like a duck, waddles like a duck and quacks like a duck, then we can safely assume, it IS a duck. Although no official linkages can be found between the Meitei organisations who are currently creating havoc in the state, the ideology guiding them links to certain ideologies which poses a significant risk of radicalising to any society. Thus, it is pertinent for all concerned citizens of India to take this as a precursor of what could happen if the nation remains silent at this time. As the saying goes, 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop', I add 'A silent nation is the devil's playground'.
