Hope amidst the riots

 Where the word peace is now hated,

Where once neighbours are now the hated,

The streams of reason has dried up

Minds are in chains and usurped

Where the voices of good people drowns,e

the mindless mobs runs the towns

Where lips speaks of peace while hearts murder

Justice cries alone in a  corner

In such an accursed land, children cries;

for many have become orphans as fathers dies

The grasslands have turned into deserts

Once happy Homes are now deserted

The once bustling streets are now empty

Devoid of laughter, mirth and merry

Where have all the leaders and saints gone

When you are most needed at home

Cries of "where is home?" reverberates

 through these forsaken land of tears

There I heard a voice, calling out

That there is still hope amidst the riots

On bended kness, I prayed;

for an end to being played

This nightmare will also pass;

 for time heals all at last.
